First Mow for 2013

With temperatures being kind for the last few days the zoysia fairways awoke from dormancy, prompting us to put the first mow for 2013. Whilst we did not cut a lot of grass the fairways still striped up a little to be more aesthetically pleasing. During the year we will alternate the direction of cuts and also alternate form clockwise to counter- clockwise with the clean up pass. Changing the direction of cuts helps train the turf to grow more upright and enhances turf quality and also reduces the amount of grain.
