Day 2 Practice round Am Shift
After yesterday's high wind and low humidity we had significant moisture loss on greens this morning. Our green waterers, Ben and Harry, had their hands full to reach the desired 12% moisture content on the greens - so much so that we sent them out today after lunch just to put a safety syringe on the greens to limit the moisture loss from high winds.
Greens are sitting in a good place in regards to speed and firmness. As of today we are right at last years average of firmness. The greens height has been lowered slightly, just to remove some more tissue and increase speed.
