Bunker Reconstruction Continues...
This video shows our contractor spraying the "magic" polymer over the 2" gravel layer we installed in the bunker. The product must be installed by a certfied applicator of the product. Once hardened, the gravel is as hard as concrete, yet water flows through it like it would through loose gravel. This will greatly reduce washouts by allowing heavy rainfall to go through the sand and into the gravel, where it then goes into the drainage in the bunker floor. By reducing washouts, we will save enormous amounts of labor to repair the washouts, provide more consistent bunkers, and increase the life of the sand (less silt contamination). We are very excited about this technology!
